A perfectly small book for anyone who needs a reminder that they matter.
Written for the person on the bench, the bus, the sidewalk, or the room that doesn't feel like home. You Are Here is for anyone navigating difficult circumstances, be it homelessness, loss, mental health struggles, or simply a life that hasn't gone as planned. With gentleness and honesty, it covers rest, shame, time, anger, survival, and small beautiful things.
No religion, no agenda, no judgment. It speaks directly to the reader's humanity—their body, their mind, their dignity, and their right to keep going. You are not invisible, you are not your worst day, and you deserve to be here.
Short enough to read in one sitting. Handy enough to revisit, again and again. Easy enough to keep in a pocket, a bag, or a hand that needs something to hold.

I might have left my name off, but my heart's fully there.
New and Improved!
My first round during the pandemic came about after a deep dive into the extra-canonical Christian texts. I couldn't help myself and made a contemporary rendering of Gospel of Thomas. It's reframed to make it make more sense today in the 21st century. I called it Thom's Gospel.
After about two years of wonderful conversations and regularly sitting with it, more of its beauty and non-duality bubbled up. I couldn't help myself but to make a few tweaks and to help make it even easier to make your own.
Thus, Thom's Gospel, Revised Edition !
The text (without the commentary) is freely available by for your pleasure by clicking here. ("Maggie's Gospel" as well, here).

I'm still real excited about this one! Here's what's being said about it:
"For centuries, the Sermon on the Mount has been interpreted as a set of divine laws, often leading to feelings of guilt, shame, and inadequacy. But what if its true purpose was to guide us toward a state of profound unity with the Divine and all of creation? In The Sutra on the Mount, independent researcher and author Toto Tay offers a beautiful and liberating re-envisioning of Jesus’ words through the lens of nonduality.
Through personal anecdotes, comparative spiritual analysis, and contemplative exercises, The Sutra on the Mount provides a roadmap for anyone searching for a living connection to the Divine, one that transcends religious boxes. It offers a path of compassion and restoration as the reader discovers that here-and-now Presence within."

Another one I released earlier in 2025 is The Teacher, The Twin, & The Tower .
This one is a real deal! It tweaks my first book, Thom's Gospel, and combines it with Maggie's Gospel which offers the same kind of rendering and commentary as before, but for the Gospel of Mary.
What's interesting to me is how the Gospel of Thomas ends with a discussion about Mary Magdalene, and the where Mary's Gospel begins (the original texts are missing the first few pages) is kind of mid-conversation with the same group of disciples and Mary. Now I'm not saying that these two gospels are written consecutively, but that with their tone and setting they sure fit together nicely!
The book also adds a handy dandy Contemplative Companion that explores 40 sets of contemplative questions across the two books. Great for Lent, Advent, daily devotional, or even a study group. So many options!
